There are places that become part of us long after we've left them. Places where the salty air feels familiar, the rhythm of the waves quiets the mind, and a single light on the horizon reminds us that we're exactly where we're meant to be.

The Colour of Home was inspired by the windswept beauty of Cape Schanck Lighthouse on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula a place where land, sea, and sky seem to meet in perfect harmony. Beneath oversized, drifting clouds and a glowing moon, the lighthouse stands as a quiet symbol of belonging, watching over the coastline as it has for generations.

This painting is about more than a landscape. It's about family road trips, sandy shoes by the car door, shared laughter carried on the ocean breeze, and those places that somehow always feel like coming home. Created in my signature style with soft flowing forms and joyful colour, it celebrates the memories we return to again and again the ones that continue to light our way.
